KARA Families are Healthy Families
KARA Family Resource Centre is a not-for-profit organization guided by a Board of Directors. The centre grew out of a collaborative process involving 16 Edmonton agencies.
KARA was incorporated in 1984 with a focus on the needs of low-income families, especially single parent families. Now, KARA works with any family who would like some information and support on parenting and personal development issues.

Mission Statement:Promoting healthy development of children by empowering families.
Goals:To provide a safe environment, and programming that enhances self-esteem and independence through education, role modeling, and hands-on learning opportunities.
