EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES
All Early Childhood programs and drop-ins are for children 0-6 years of age (who are not in Grade 1).
PROGRAMS: (click on titles for more info and unless otherwise indicated all drop-ins are held at the main site)
Creative Play & More - Join us every Thursday for an energetic morning of fun learning opportunities while we play. We will learn developmental skills, our ABC’s, colors, math concepts and the 5 senses. Parents can learn how to do all of our activities with items around the home. We will have an action filled circle time and an interactive story.
Please call 780-478-5396 the day before to reserve a spot as space is limited.

Baby Talk - For caregivers with babies 0-12 months. When it comes to learning there is no one size fits all. Every infant is unique, with his or her own needs and preferences. “Baby talk” will be fun-filled, educational and interactive. It will be geared toward each baby’s development.

- Childcare is available for siblings (13 months- 6 years old) to allow “Baby Talk” time for caregiver
and baby.
Pre-registration welcomed but if you are not pre-registered please feel free to just drop in at our
KARA-Too Location (#108, 5606-134A Ave.).
Continuous registration will take place.
- Thursdays starting January 12 to December 13, from 1:30 to 3pm,

Playtime Drop-In - There will be a variety of activity centers set up for kids to explore. Parents can watch their child(ren) play, or join in the fun the morning will end with a circle time of songs and stories.

Kids Night Out - This is a child-parent interaction based drop-in program that is designed to offer a fun getaway from everyday routines. It focuses on fine and gross motor activities to promote the healthy development of your child.

- Join us every Monday evening to “have your kids played out and fed, just in time for bed!”
- Starting January 9 to December 10, from 6 to 7:30pm,
(except on Statutory Holidays)
Me & My Buddy - This is a drop-in program specifically for men with young children (0-6 yrs). You can interact and play with your child(ren) in a variety of play centers.

- Toy Lending Library
- Toys, books and other developmental learning objects are available to families to borrow and take home to support their child's developmental growth.

Parent Resource Library - A resource library filled with current parenting literature, videos and child development resources is available. A TV/VCR/DVD is available to access visual materials. In addition, a computer with internet access is available for parents to utilize information on the Internet related to parenting and raising children.
- Membership to KARA's Resource Library is free.
